NIJINSKI (LIBERO) x NOTARIS x IRENUS

Uranda is a kind and well-conformed mare who had a successful career at the 1.50m Grand Prix and Young Rider levels after being imported to New Zealand from the Netherlands as a youngster. Bred by W. Schuiling from the well performed KWPN fokfamilie 315, Uranda carries the valuable Dutch lineage of Libero, Nimmerdor, and Notaris, who always guarantee top-quality horses when present in the dam line. Her maternal half-sister, Jaranda, is the mother of several 1.45-60m Grand Prix and Championship horses, including Tyaranda S, Nordico, and Udo DV. Her mother, Dyranda, is also the granddam of the Champion CCI 5* eventing stallion, Party Trick. Other 1.60m jumping horses descending from the fokfamilie 315 include Zelote VDL and Halifax W.

Fran was a highly successful competitor, winning up to 1.60m Grand Prix and World Cup levels under Katie Laurie in New Zealand, Canada, and the USA, including at Spruce Meadows. She is a fast and powerful jumper with a lot of determination. “Flying Fran” is a gritty chestnut mare, unorthodox with a sharp mind, but always gave her best efforts to her rider. Bred at Stal de Toxandria of Werner Dierckx in Belgium, Fran has a daughter named Image de Toxandria, who competes in the USA. Image de Toxandria is the dam of the highly successful and flashy 1.60m international mare, Nasa de Toxandria. Fran’s family is full of grand prix winners such as Tobasco de Toxandria, L’Artiste de Toxandria, and Medoc de Toxandria.

TOLAN R (NAMELUS R) x JOOST x ABGAR

Fame is a tall, scopey mare with a sleek black coat, combining elegance, athleticism, and a deeply interesting pedigree. She herself competed successfully up to 1.30m before circumstances led her to retire sound to breeding.

Through her dam Eamelusiena, she is the maternal half-sister to the super breeding stallion Namelus R, sire of Olympic gold medallist Tripple X III (Ben Maher/Tiffany Foster) and many other 1.50m-1.60m performers. Fame is also linebred to this fabulous mare Eamelusiena through her sire, Tolan R (by Namelus R out of Eamelusiena). Although he did not breed many mares, Tolan R also has many offspring that have reached 1.50m-1.60m. Fame is also the maternal half-sister of the 1.60m jumper Bobby (Concorde).

The Melusiena line is a top mare family, with notable 1.60m performers including the Olympic jumper Lamalushi, Idalco, Laurin B, Hay Guy, Matcho KB, Velusinus R, Jade, Esperite, and the Olympic and Championship-winning stallion I Amelusina R51, who has multiple 5* wins under Simon Delestre. Recent breeding stallions from the family include Mermus R, Sam R, Dexter R, Emir R, Den Ham Blue R and George R.

Fame herself has produced Amelusina R57, highly regarded by his Moroccan Olympian rider, Ali Al Ahrach, as well as the licensed stallion James SB, aka Jamelusinus van de Eijkhok, in Europe, and very promising young progeny in Australia.

Sunday VDL is a quintessential, powerful Holsteiner mare, standing at an imposing 178cm and representing the very best of her breed type. She is a full sister to the 1.50m Grand Prix mare Quintia and descends from one of the most influential dam lines in Holstein, the legendary Stamm 18b1, also known as the Dorette line. This family has been one of the cornerstones of Holsteiner breeding, producing a remarkable concentration of 1.50m-1.60m performers and licensed stallions. The foundation mare Dorette (by Monarch, born 1945) shaped modern sport horse breeding through her sons Farn and Roman and her daughters Adrette and Ella, leaving a legacy that continues to define top-level jumping pedigrees worldwide.

Sunday herself has proven her worth as a broodmare many times over. She is the dam of the 1.60m Grand Prix jumper Leopoldo MVNZ, who is successfully competing in Australia, as well as the exported mares Sophia MVNZ (China) and Nikita MVNZ (Australia).

Now 23 years old, we are excited to have Sunday contribute to our programme through embryo transfer.

CANTURANO x VOLTAIRE x NIMMERDOR

Elottie is a talented jumper and expressive mover with a sharp mind and strong disposition typical of her sire, Canturano. Descending from the famous Dutch “Lottie” lineage, her dam line is also filled with Dutch breeding powerhouses such as Nimmerdor, Voltaire, and Marco Polo. The Lottie line has given many great International 1.60m jumpers including Icro Polo, Maybe Forever, Woklahoma, Zadkine W, Demilion W, Richmond W, Wiesielottie, and the Olympic gold medallist Vindicat W. Elottie was lightly competed to 1.25m after being imported to New Zealand from the Netherlands before her value was realised as a broodmare. Elottie's progeny are just starting out under saddle, and are proving to be high-quality horses that have inherited her powerful build, sensitivity, and light-footedness.

Contessa is a powerful, well-proportioned mare of excellent Holsteiner type, with beautiful movement and natural athleticism. She showcased her talent early, finishing 3rd in the Freejumping Championship at Zangersheide, demonstrating both unlimited scope and careful technique.

Exceptionally well-bred, Contessa LVP combines two of Holstein’s most influential bloodlines. She is by the elite stallion Contender, a 1.40m showjumper under Michael Rüping and sire of 127 approved sons, as well as top showjumping progeny including Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s Checkmate 4, Nick Skelton’s Carlo 273, and Ludger Beerbaum’s top mare Chiara 222. Her damline traces back to the renowned Holsteiner stallion Lord (Stamm 1298), with Carthago contributing proven production quality in the maternal line.

Contessa combines proven performance, exceptional type, and a pedigree loaded with international Hosteiner jumping talent, making her a cornerstone for breeding top-level sport horses.

CALGARY GNZ (CASALL) x CARTHAGO x ALME

Imported from Australia, Cheese is a tall, scopey mare and bred in the purple for jumping. Jumped to 1.30m level. By the successful breeding stallion, Calgary GNZ (Casall x Calato), and out of the imported World Cup 1.60m jumping mare, Cheezy Z.

Carthago is a valuable presence in the dam line, known for producing mares with strong frames, good bone, and excellent rideability. A proven Olympic performer and top sire, his daughters often pass on his scope, temperament, and classic Holsteiner type. Further back in the dam line is Almé, who is one of the most influential stallions in modern sport horse breeding and an exceptional asset in a dam line. More than 75% of all Zangersheide products performing in the international show jumping sport carry the blood of Almé. Beyond this is an Anglo-Arabian mare line. Calato is similarly renowned for the quality of his breeding daughters, and he appears as the dam sire of Calgary.

Her granddam, Amusette Z, is also the dam of the 1.70m International Grand Prix jumping stallion, Cartoon Z, who jumped under the saddle of Rodrigo Pessoa. Cartoon Z has also sired 1.60m Grand Prix horses, including Elka de la Pomme.

Fancy is the matriarch of our farm and our foundational breeding mare. She is a scopey, energetic, expressive mare with phenomenal intelligence and character. Fancy competed up to 1.30m before an accident ended her sports career. She carries old Hanoverian blood through Grannus and Falkland, combined with the athleticism and stamina of the Australian Thoroughbred. Fancy produces typey and beautiful foals with exceptional temperaments and types, which mature into striking horses.

Pinky is a classically beautiful mare that competed successfully to 1.35m before breeding. She descends from some the best of Selle Français breeding, with Papillon Rouge and Calvados in the first two generations, as well as the KWPN jumping stallion Elanville sired by Renville, who was one of the most successful jumpers of his time. Her lineage is reflected by her sharpness when jumping under the saddle. Her sire, Lindberg des Hayettes, was imported to NZ from France and jumped to 1.60m grand prix before being exported back to Europe. Her dam, Rivierra van het Sonnishof, was bred by Teo Luyten at Stal Sonnishof in Belgium before being imported to NZ. Her grand-dam, Ratinka, produced the CCI5* eventer, Lordana van het Leysehof Z, and the 1.45m jumper, Assy van het Sonnishof.

CONTENDA (CONTENDRO) x KANNAN x ZUES x FURIOSO

Noona is a large-framed, powerful mare typical of Kannan and her Belgian heritage. She is a daughter of the prolific broodmare Baluna van het Appelsvoordehof, who was the winner of her 3yo mare free jumping test in Belgium before her import to Australia, where she produced a large number of successful jumping horses and breeding fillies for Oaks Sport Horses. Zeus and Furioso II in the dam line bring value as a breeding mare. Zeus was an excellent sire of broodmares, the most notable example being Tinka's Boy. Noona also has strong sports connections in her dam line, and her grand dam Kaluna produced Aluna, who was also a member of the Belgian team at the European Championships in Windsor, the Belgian Champion and the Nations Cup team in La Baule, Aachen, and Falsterbo. Aluna produced the mother (Eluna d'Eclipse) of the exceptional sport and breeding stallion Luigi d'Eclipse, who won at 1.60m Grand Prix level under Michael van der Vleuten. Luigi d'Ecplise now jumps under the NZ flag with rider Uma O'Neill.

LEOPOLDO MVNZ (CLINTON I) x LANDLORD x CORDEUR

Tigerlily is a beautifully bred Westfälen mare from Stamm 443, combining strength, scope, and proven jumping talent. She is the full sister of Grand Prix jumper Rodrigo MVNZ, carrying strong black-type credentials through her maternal family.

Her pedigree is packed with top-level performance. Her granddam, H-Princess (Charming Princess), was imported to New Zealand and produced a remarkable number of 1.40–1.60m jumpers, including Cervelt MVNZ, Cadet MVNZ, and Gina MVNZ. Tigerlily’s dam, Hiathanthus (Grannus), also had an exceptional strike rate as a producer, producing three 1.60m jumpers in Hildon Premier Cru, Cartana, and Balibu. Notably, Cartana, a daughter of Carthago, produced the licensed stallions Deister and E-Pleasure, both of whom have in turn sired several 1.45-1.60m jumpers.

Tigerlily combines proven performance and high production value, making her an exciting contributor to our programme.

LUX Z x EMILION x NIMMERDOR

Miracle is a blood-type Holsteiner mare from Stamm 474a, with an excellent character, exceptional conformation, and fluid movement. Miracle’s pedigree features some of the most respected performance bloodlines, including Lux Z, Ladykiller XX, Almé Z, Caletto I, and Nimmerdor. Her sire, Lux Z, was an elite Holsteiner stallion renowned for passing on scope, carefulness, and rideability. Emilion had a significant impact on Dutch breeding through both his own success and the achievements of his offspring, which excelled at Grand Prix and international levels. Emilion’s daughters continue to produce top-level performers, making him a cornerstone of modern Dutch show jumping bloodlines.

Miracle has a strong black-type and descends from one of VDL’s top foundation mares, Shoraya (Ladykiller XX). This line has produced numerous top-level jumpers and influential stallions and mares. First dam, Solette VDL, produced several 1.60m international performers, including Wimbledon MVNZ (Lieven Devos), Eldorrado MVNZ (Lieven Devos), Gabriel MVNZ, and Clearmont MVNZ. Her second dam, Colette, produced the 1.60m stallion Edminton Z and Nicolette WG (Yuri Mansur).

Her third dam, Shoraya, produced several top performers, including the 1.60m breeding stallion N-Aldato (Emile Hendrix), Dhelia (1.50m), and the KWPN preferent stallion Pacific VDL. Other notable 1.60m performers and licensed breeding stallions from the renowned Shoraya line include Olympic-level stallion Bubalu VDL, Pessoa VDL, Wilton John VDL, Radan VDL, Asteca VDL, Wizzerd WV, and Montreal VDL.

ANDRETTI (ACORADO) x DISTELFINK x OAKVILLE XX

Ava is a tough and athletic mare with a lot of internal fire. She brings a strong NZ performance pedigree, being sired by the imported 1.60m World Cup jumper Andretti and carrying old Hanoverian blood in Distelfink combined with an English thoroughbred dam line. Takapoto Equestrian purchased Ava as a young jumper prospect for Samantha McIntosh, but injury prevented her from progressing as a ridden horse. Ava has produced true-to-type foals that inherit her internal fire and presence.

LIO CAYLON (LIOSTRO) x POWERFEE x SHEFFIELD

Tandia is a compact and sporty mare carrying bloodlines that have significantly contributed to NZ's international horsepower. Her sire, Lio Caylon, also sired WEG competitor Delphi, who jumped at  1.60m Grand Prix and World Cup level under Katie Laurie, placing 6th in the 2011 World Cup Final in Leipzig. Her dam sire is the 5* 1.60m grand prix jumping stallion VDL Groep Powerfee, who was ridden successfully by Samantha McIntosh.

Hazel is a long-legged, light-footed, and elegant mare. She is supermodel beautiful and moves and jumps with great self-confidence and ease. She is the daughter of the 1.60m grand prix stallion RPM Canturado, sired by the Olympic stallion Canturo. Canturado carries the blood of Corrado and Ramiro Z in his dam line, and his grandmother, Doreen XIII, produced several 1.50m/1.60m grand prix horses. Hazel is the only foal from our much loved Pico Bello mare, Penny Royal, who we sadly lost to colic.

Sultana is an elastic, electric mare with many qualities for top sport. Her pedigree features the successful Cassini x Ramiro combination frequently seen in Holstein, with refinement from the NZ thoroughbred. Cassiano is an outstanding stallion and was considered one of the best true-to-type sons of Cassini I by the Holsteiner Verband. He produced 5 licensed sons and numerous 1.50m/1.60m grand prix jumpers.

TRIOMPHE DE MUZE (CHIN CHIN) x RAMIREZ x SILENT HUNTER XX

Currant's pedigree combines gems of German, French, and Dutch breeding in the twice Olympic stallion Chin Chin, Galoubet A, and Ramiro Z, refined by the NZ thoroughbred. Her sire, Triomphe de Muze, is a typical and blood-typed product of Joris de Brabander's Stud de Muze. Triomphe won 5* 1.60m grand prix level and puissance classes in Europe and the USA and has produced many 1.50m/1.60m jumping horses. Triomphe also places well as a damsire of performance horses. Currant's type is true to her parentage; she has a tough mind and a muscular but athletic exterior. An injury as a weanling meant she was never tried under saddle but will contribute to our programme as a career broodmare.

VIVANT VAN DE HEFFINCK (FUEGO DE PRELET) x KINGSTTENHAM XX (NUREYEV XX) x HEIR APPARENT XX

Valentina is a sharp, blood-type mare true to her sire Vivant and thoroughbred lineage. Vivant was a beautiful horse with great character, immense scope, and longevity. His international 5* career lasted ten years with three different riders. Val’s dam line is rich in old-fashioned thoroughbred steeplechasing and staying blood, including Northern Dancer, Hyperion, and Ballymoss.

Chloe is the first offspring and is the only filly from our foundation mare, Gradina. She is a big mare with unlimited power and suspenseful movements. A proper mare, Chloe is tough in the mind and no amateur horse, but she was class when she clicked with her rider. Her father, Contenda, has proven himself as a sire of horses across the disciplines, and Chloe is equally gifted in dressage and jumping.

Berry carries twice the blood of Ramiro Z through the dam line of her Grand Prix sire RPM Canturado and her damsire. Berry is a small horse with a compact build. She is straight and correct, has a strong topline and shoulder, and is expressive in her movements. With a workmanlike temperament and a positive outlook on life, we look forward to seeing her foal before she is put under the saddle.

RAMIREZ (RAMIRO Z) x SILENT HUNTER XX x CROWN LEASE XX

Raisin is a blood mare that reliably produced many upstanding, attractive, and athletic progeny. Her sire Ramirez was imported to NZ from Germany and is sired by the super sire, Ramiro Z, who won numerous international Grand Prix, Nations cups, and puissance competitions and was named Dutch "Horse of the Year" in 1992. Ramiro was a prolific producer of licensed sons and broodmares, and his influence on Dutch breeding was, and still is, of utmost importance, notably in the dam lines of some jumping greats. Ramirez produced many grand prix jumping horses in NZ, including Sophie's own LR Ruegar. Raisin's thoroughbred dam line brings blood and refinement, and Silent Hunter and Bally Royal frequently feature in the pedigree of sport horses.

Penny is a tall and elegant mare with ample scope. Her hind technique and bascule were particularly impressive under saddle. Her sire is the eye-catching stallion Pico Bello, who was bred in the Netherlands before being imported to NZ and then to Australia. Pico Bello had a long performance career at Grand Prix and World Cup levels in Australasia and was known for his technique and rideability. Penny's dam descends from NZ sport horses that have long proved their soundness, toughness, and longevity. Penny produced one exceptional foal who inherited her long legs, elegance, and kind disposition.
