New Zealand breeders face unique challenges in accessing modern performance genetics from Europe, given both our distance and stringent import standards. As a passionate breeder, previous Grand Prix rider, scientist, and AI provider myself, I understand these limitations first-hand and share a passion for improving access to world-class sires while also working to derisk the breeding process.
Much has already been achieved by those who have imported frozen semen from top stallions to New Zealand, and my aim is to build on this foundation. We want to bring in fresh bloodlines, negotiate more breeder-favourable terms, and ensure doses are complete and usable (not single straws where this is not intended). Above all, we aim to make breeding to elite stallions more accessible.
To make sure the stallions we bring in truly reflect the needs and ambitions of New Zealand breeders, I’m asking for your input before shipments are finalised. Together with our partners, we’ve prepared an extensive list featuring both proven sires and exciting young talent. You can view the list at the link below. Some stallions listed are already available here by pre-order or by the dose, but we would look to offer them with better terms, such as LFG or a rebate if pregnancy is not achieved. The stallions Arko III and Big Star would transfer to our collection without replacing existing stock already in the country.
This is a live process, so not every stallion listed can be guaranteed. Our plan is to begin with a focused catalogue and expand over time, adjusting the offering to align with breeder interest and demand.
